In Dec 2009 / Jan 2010, a team led by Mike and Fiona Thornewill will walk to the South Pole, starting from the point at which Shackleton turned back. Cedric's goal is to complete the journey and to raise support for Amnesty International and awareness for Macmillian Cancer Research in the U.K.

IN THE CLASSROOM
Cedric will also be working with students and in the classroom to promote an interest in Antarctic preservation and the environment, while sharing the lesson that realizing a dream is very possible for anyone if they remain focused on their goals and work hard to achieve them. Through the media and popular interest of our project we will collectively raise support for Amnesty International and Macmillian Cancer Research in the U.K.
